“The accumulation of products for secondary and vocational education students per year can reach 1.2 tons; it is also our commitment that must be kept to entrepreneurs and parties or companies, ”said Mohd Iqbal, head of the regional education office of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Wednesday.
Iqbal said the 1.2 tons of agricultural produce produced by the students was not processed into food and other ingredients, but was in the form of plants such as oranges, lemons, organic rice, organic chili peppers and chili peppers. organic potatoes.
Then many of these agricultural products are processed into local products that can be consumed, such as Aceh food or drink, he said.

“Some are commodities and others have been processed, for example (to make) perfume, lemon drinks, crisps and various other processed products,” he said.
Iqbal said the students planted the crops directly on about 15 hectares of land split between Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The agricultural domain belongs to the SMK.
The processed products from SMK were hosted by many entrepreneurs in Aceh for later remarketing, he added.
Therefore, Iqbal said his office will continue to maximize the production of agricultural products for students. For this reason, in the near future, a product exhibition will be organized and guests ranging from entrepreneurs to teachers will be invited so that the demand will increase, he added.
“We will maximize this because if the SMK product works, the economic sector will move and this could reduce poverty; even students will be challenged to compete with other products,” he said.
